The Belgian coast is 65 km long. The beach of Ostend is located exactly in the middle of this distance and functions as the central location of this Belgian Coast Mirror Race. Your group is divided in an even number of teams, one half of which starts on the territory of Westende, the other half of which leaves from De Haan.

All teams race against the clock to the central location in Ostend. Along the road, each team has to take up a series of challenges: braintwister on the beach, an orientation test, a fire test etc. The better you perform in these challenges, the more extra time or ‘bonus time’ you win.

Your means of transportation are the so-called ‘billenkar’ or cuissetaxe (typical multiperson pedal go-carts), the coast tram, and the last physical exercise is a walk to the finish under the guidance of a compass.
