Impress your guests with a night event or New Year’s reception in Ostend

Lovers of culture have always been able to enjoy themselves in Ostend. Besides numerous cultural heritage sites, the City by the Sea has various museums and other attractions. There has been a great increase in quality in recent years, including the arrival of the new James Ensor House. You can even organise a night event for your guests there, as in other cultural hotspots. This includes the option of food and drinks.  A cultural and gastronomic experience, but above all a unique opportunity to network with your guests in a relaxed atmosphere. It is also the perfect place for a New Year’s reception!

  1. The James Ensor House
Anyone who recently visited the James Ensor House will affirm: it has become an absolute must-visit for anyone since it reopened in 2020. This visitors centre and museum impresses both born lovers of culture and visitors who are less culturally inclined. A guide will introduce you to the world of Ensor and show you the house where the painter lived and worked until his death in 1949, among other sights. After the visit, you can offer your guests something to drink and a bite to eat in the unique setting of the James Ensor House.
  2. Fort Napoleon
Fort Napoleon has been the scene of hundreds of years of history. This is where the French fearfully waited for the English, and the impenetrable pentagon was used by German soldiers as a buffer against the Allies. You are guided through the many spots of the building, learning interesting stories about the fort during a night event. You can enjoy a concluding drink or extensive dinner in the experience brasserie after the tour. Everything is possible!
  3. Mu.ZEE
Mu.ZEE is the only place in the world that focuses on modern and contemporary Belgian art, from 1880 to the present day. Mu.ZEE wishes to share its iconic building, its wonderful collection, and its ever-expanding knowledge about this topic with you and as many people as possible. In a warm, hospitable and generous manner. Discover the permanent collection and temporary exhibits with your customers, colleagues or other business partners. You can also conclude the day here with drinks and a bite to eat.
  4. Mercator sailing yacht
The Mercator sailing yacht completed no fewer than 41 trips. The museum ship has been moored in Ostend since 1964, where you can discover the history of this three-masted schooner on board the vessel. It is a protected monument and probably the most famous ship from Belgium, and attracts many thousands of visitors each year. It is without a doubt one of the most unique locations for organising a night event or reception.
