International Seagriculture EU conference returns to Ostend in 2027!

In June 2027, Ostend will become the European capital of the seaweed industry. Following the successful edition held in June 2026 in Gothenburg, Sweden, the prestigious international conference Seagriculture EU has officially chosen our seaside city as the host destination for its 16th edition. From Tuesday 15 to Thursday 17 June 2027, local and international experts, government bodies and entrepreneurs will gather in the heart of our blue economy.

A leading platform for the seaweed sector

This is not the first time the conference has come to our city. Back in 2019, Ostend was already the proud host of the event's successful 8th edition. The fact that the organisation has chosen Ostend once again, eight years later, is a major recognition. Since its launch in 2012, Seagriculture has built a solid reputation as the leading platform for the seaweed industry in Europe. The conference brings together the entire value chain: from seaweed farmers, processors and researchers to investors, major brands, and policymakers. After previous successful editions in locations like Rotterdam and the 15th edition in Gothenburg, it is Ostend’s turn to welcome this dynamic, international network in 2027.
