The Shrimp Croquette Festival is bursting at the seams - Ostend is growing along with its events

The Shrimp Croquette Festival is bigger and more popular than ever today. The love for shrimp croquettes remains impressive, and this year it meant we had to expand to ensure everyone could be welcomed in comfort.

As Tourism Ostend / Meet in Oostende, we support organisers in creating an optimal visitor experience. For this edition, that meant more space, greater comfort and a smart expansion of the festival zone at the Wellington Hippodrome.

Smart expansion thanks to a trusted partner

For the expansion, we once again relied on the expertise of Key2Party, our regular logistics partner for this event. Their innovative tent system provided the flexibility needed to extend the site in a neat, functional and atmosphere-conscious way.

The integrated weighted flooring proved to be a major added value: thanks to this system, no external concrete blocks were required, resulting in a clean, streamlined look that perfectly matches the experience we aim to deliver with this festival.

In concrete terms, this resulted in:

Increased capacity and improved comfort for all visitors
Smooth circulation, with shorter waiting times for both croquettes and seating
A high-quality, well-finished appearance through smart use of materials
An expansion that integrates seamlessly with the contours of the Hippodrome
